On 24 May 2018, Maurice Feschet, together with 9 other families and the Saami Youth Association from Sweden, took the EU to court for the insufficiency of its 2030 climate target to protect their lives, livelihoods and fundamental rights.
Since then, the plaintiffs are supported by almost 200. 000 people thanks to the petition campaign hosted by wemove.eu and young people asking them to share their stories in the Climate Strikes.
On 24 May 2019 – a year after he launched the case- , Maurice Feschet addressed the youth gathered in Paris for the 2nd Global Climate Strike to share his solidarity with the youth.
